Done in By a Donut: The Story of JuiceandJune [ 02 September 2003, 12:54 p.m. ]

ah. the end of a long weekend for me, and back to school for my girl. let's just say that between the cats alternately taking up all of the bed or knocking picture frames onto the floor, 5:45 came VERY early. not to mention that the hour, in and of itself, has been foreign to us for awhile.

ah well. minor details.

so. the weekend. it was VERY relaxing, which was nice. didn't hit any traffic down on friday, hung out and went for a great run on saturday (mostly because we got to run my pace since she was hurting). sunday brought time at the beach and hanging out with cool chicas.

sunday night we walked around Ptown and guess who we saw? Carson from Queer Eye! He was walking around provincetown, and i actually saw him twice that night. . .once early on, and then later as he was going into a bar (he had changed into a black T-shirt with a glittery/sequined "C" on it.) both times he was right near me and if i could have thought of something intelligent to say (other than "i've heard everyone talking about your show!") i would have. oh, who am i kidding? i wouldn't.

but the real tragedy of the night came in between those two sightings. i was reading my book outside of the girl's work and she lured me inside with the promise of a krispy kreme. i left my book on the step and when i came back, it was GONE! for the LOVE! i was almost DONE, folks. i am still irked about that. not because i'm especially attached to the book, or paid a lot for it or anything, mostly just because i want to FINISH it!!!

That being said, does anyone have a copy of Ghostwritten by David Mitchell? I only have about 30 pages left. . .I'll give it right back!!
