should auld aquaintance be forgot [ 03 January 2005, 4:56 p.m. ]

i rang in in the new year with topless kegstands. i can't even make that up. my girl was one of the topless ones. oh my.

good fun was had by all, though some were dropped on their heads (also connected to keg stands). you would have thought we would all have grown up more than this. . .but. . .no.

we had a good, if random, crowd at the house and while trying to pass out champagne to everyone in the room, i missed the ball dropping. oh well. there's always next year, when i'm sure i will be sitting on the sofa and not mopping a beer drenched floor.

but these are details.

i spent the second day of 2005 cooking! cooking! very unlike me, but we had fun. we prepared a meal for 8, centered around ham. what could be better?

i am tired after a very long weekend. and i WILL be hitting the gym tonight.
